In a resounding victory, Magnolia secured its spot in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals after overcoming the spirited challenge of Phoenix with an 89-79 win in Game 4 of their semifinal clash at the Mall of Asia Arena. Mark Barroca played a pivotal role, contributing a conference-high 21 points, guiding the Hotshots to a 3-1 series triumph.

The Beermen, having recently swept Barangay Ginebra in the semis, present a formidable challenge for the Hotshots. Coach Chito Victolero expressed his respect for Phoenix, acknowledging their unexpected journey to the Final Four. He commended Fuel Masters’ coach Jamike Jarin for presenting a tough fight and making the series challenging for Magnolia.
