The DLSU Archers demonstrated an incredible resurgence in their remarkable win against the University of the Philippines (UP), setting the stage for an intense Season 86 title showdown. After a humbling series opener, the DLSU Archers surged back with a commanding 82-60 victory, rekindling their momentum for the upcoming decisive match.

Coach Topex Robinson’s squad showcased a dramatic shift in momentum, refusing to succumb to a premature ending in the Finals.DLSU Archers resilience was evident as they fought their way back from an early 10-point deficit, gradually narrowing the gap to a mere three points by the end of the first quarter.

DLSU Archers’ Remarkable Comeback

Despite the echoes of UP’s dominant 97-67 Game 1 victory, the path to success was laden with challenges for La Salle. However, their tenacity prevailed as they unleashed a relentless offensive onslaught and tightened their defense, exhibiting a stark contrast to their initial performance in the series.

A Test of Mettle for UP

UP, aiming to reclaim the title lost to Ateneo in the previous season, faced formidable obstacles in their quest. Former MVP Malick Diouf’s promising start dwindled, with the Maroons struggling to maintain their earlier momentum. DLSU Archers’ staunch defense denied UP crucial opportunities, leading to an agonizing field goal drought for over 11 minutes in the second quarter, setting the stage for their rival’s breakaway.
