San Beda Lions stormed into the NCAA Basketball Finals 2023 after a triumphant victory over Lyceum, securing their spot in the championship match for the first time in four years.
In a high-stakes showdown, the Red Lions displayed their dominance, shooting 13 three-pointers to overpower Lyceum and claim a spot in the Finals. Coach Yuri Escueta praised the team’s resilience, highlighting their determination to take each game one step at a time, culminating in their unexpected yet well-deserved Finals berth.

Despite Lyceum’s efforts, highlighted by Enoch Valdez’s remarkable 28-point display and JM Bravo’s 16 points and 11 rebounds, the Pirates fell short due to turnovers, missing out on a chance to make it to the Finals for the first time since 2018.

JM Bravo clogged 16 points and 11 rebounds however the Pirates still missed a chance to return to the Finals since 2018. They fought a good a fight and kept trying but it just wasn’t enough. They are hoping to bounce back next year even though they may be losing a key player in Enoch Valdez’s last season. He has been drafted and like anyone else he will definitely be looking forward to that.
