FEU’s performance was a departure from their usual pop culture-themed routines, showcasing their versatility and ability to adapt to different concepts. Their seamless integration of flips, jumps, and pyramids perfectly mirrored the challenges and excitement of navigating the Mushroom Kingdom. The routine also incorporated elements from the universally acclaimed game Mario Kart, adding an extra layer of excitement and engagement.
Despite being without their decorated mentor Ghicka Bernabe in this year’s UAAP Cheerdance 2023 Competition, the National University Pep Squad put on a commendable performance, inspired by the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley. Their high-risk, high-reward stunts thrilled the audience and earned them a well-deserved second-place finish with 697 points.

UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe closed out the UAAP Cheerdance 2023 competition with an energetic performance to the music of K-Pop group Blackpink. Their routine, featuring a medley of popular hits like BOOMBAYAH, DDU-DU DDU-DU, and Kill This Love, secured them a third-place finish with 684 points.

In addition to winning the overall UAAP Cheerdance 2023 championship, FEU also swept the special awards, taking home five prizes for their outstanding performance. These included the Skechers Stylish Performance Team award, Yamaha Most Unique Dance Move award, BYS Best Toss award, Juicy Cologne Juicy-fied Pyramid award, and Silka Best Dance Move award, each worth P30,000, totaling P150,000 in cash prizes.
